Arylessence R&D Facility Wins Project Achievement Award

CDH Partners and its collaborators are proud to announce the Arylessence Research and Development Facility has received a Project Achievement Award from the Construction Management Association of America South Atlantic Chapter.

This award celebrates outstanding achievement in construction management and recognizes projects that promote professionalism and excellence in the field. Winning projects are chosen for demonstrating successful management of safety, quality, cost and schedule, and for their commitment to complexity, sustainability, creativity and customer satisfaction. Thanks to outstanding cooperation between the owner, CDH Partners architecture firm, and the general contractor, the Arylessence facility was delivered on time and on budget to the highest standard of work.

Taking the lead from Arylessence executives Steve Tanner, Cynthia Reichard and Brett Tanner, CDH helped create a two-story, 35,000 sq ft facility that is both beautiful and functional. The manufacturing and testing of fragrances requires an efficient, high-tech space with intensively controlled environments and sustainable elements. The space includes custom offices, themed conference rooms, a GC/analytical lab, technology and innovation lab, applications lab, fragrance R&D lab, sensory evaluation booths, laundry fabric care test center, and an evaluation consumer/professional panel center.

CDH’s project design team included Scott Arnold, Melissa Cantrell, AIA, LEED AP, and David Esterline, AIA. The facility was built under construction management by Ben Norton, LEED AP BD+C, of Brasfield & Gorrie. Construction began in September 2017 and the facility opened one year later. The team accepted the Project Achievement Award at the 2019 CMAA South Atlantic Chapter Annual Awards Banquet on June 11th, 2019.
