AIA Atlanta Recognizes CDH’s Heli Shah as Exceptional Young Architect
Heli Shah, Associate AIA of CDH Partners, was recognized with the AIA Atlanta John A. Busby Jr. Award. This award spotlights an exceptional young architect.

This tribute is bestowed on her for her dedication to the future of architecture. Heli’s commitment to the broad definition of Emerging Professional is exemplary with engagement of the next generation of leaders from K-12 to the excellence of the Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program (CKLDP). As a leader, she served on the AIA Atlanta Board of Directors as AIA Atlanta Young Architects Forum (YAF) Chair, and on the Executive Committee of the CKLDP. She led an organizational redesign of the YAF leadership pipeline and the involvement of dozens of AIA members in the creation of “The Soul of Reynoldstown” mural project. She also served as a mentor, moderator, and panelist for topics such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as Women’s Leadership.

The award is given to an AIA Atlanta emerging professional member excelling in one or more of the areas: design excellence; AIA leadership; community involvement; pursuit of lifelong education; and/or managing or starting a firm.
AIA Atlanta recognized Shah at Build Something Great celebration, which took place on November 18, 2021 at Monday Night Garage’s Chandelier Room.
