Church Executive Magazine invited Worship + Community Studio Principal David Strickland to participate in a roundtable discussion on church design trends. Along with other industry leaders, he examined this topic through a broad lens—from what’s in, what’s out, how to attract children and millennials, and how to keep long-time members on board with new designs.
David also contributed an article that prompts church leaders to consider multi-ministry spaces. In some cases, such as First Baptist Orlando’s Nocatee campus, this is the right choice to meet the needs of a congregation. At Nocatee, CDH’s design combined a worship space with recreational space, which adds a welcoming element for the community.
The roundtable appears in the magazine’s September/October issue and the article appears in the Church Design Trends special supplement. Church Executive Magazine reaches more than 52,000 senior pastors, executive pastors and business administrators throughout the U.S. It touts its exclusive advice, analysis and editorials from the most trusted church management thought leaders that helps church executives become better stewards.
