This week, we join the nation in recognizing Women in Construction (WIC) Week. At CDH Partners, we acknowledge the contributions of women across all facets of our work, from architecture and interior design to construction administration. We are committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where women thrive and lead, and WIC Week provides an opportunity to highlight their achievements and our ongoing efforts to elevate women in the industry.
This year’s theme, “Together We Rise,” celebrates the strength and knowledge of women and the vital role they play in shaping the future of the construction industry. It emphasizes the power of collaboration, mentorship, and shared experiences in empowering women to reach their full potential.
The Landscape: A Call for Change
While progress is being made, the construction industry, like many related fields, still faces challenges regarding gender diversity. According to the AIA Membership Demographics Report, women represent only 26.8% of the AIA’s overall membership. This statistic underscores the need for continued efforts to attract, retain, and advance women in architecture and construction-related fields.
At CDH we are proud of our woman-owned business enterprise status and that we have a team of diverse voices and viewpoints – culminating in 58% women-ownership and more than 50% female staff.
