CDH Partners completes project at Calvary Children’s Home
Calvary Children’s Home is for children in the Metro Atlanta area that are orphaned or need to live apart from their families. We designed a cottage for Calvary, creating housing for older girls in their care. Our team is grateful to make positive impacts on our local community with projects like this.
You helped us build a house, and God willing, we’ll build a home. This project let’s these kids know that they matter to somebody.
— Snyder Turner, Executive Director
This new, multi-unit cottage is a central location and expansion to the Transitional Program residents into the current girl’s cottage. The additional capacity to Calvary’s program creates additional space for up to 12 children who need long-term care. Calvary is one of the only care locations in Georgia where the kids do not age out of the program – they develop the whole person into adulthood. The cottage features large gathering spaces on both floors including kitchen, dining, game room, and living room, as well as bedroom suites with shared bathrooms for the girls and their house parents.
This is going to be a home where kids can chase their dreams.
— Brian Busby, Campus Director
A project of giving, CDH provided pro bono architectural and design services for Calvary. The Calvary project is funded by community donations.
The CDH team also volunteers with Calvary throughout the year. This holiday season, we participated in a day of painting, sorting, and landscaping.
