Project Scope:
Originally constructed in the 1950s, Sprayberry High School is undergoing a massive overhaul project in the form of a 3000-person capacity gymnasium addition and Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) interior renovation. The CTAE building ensures students have the opportunity to explore career interests while being in high school. The facilities support focuses in Audio Video Technology and Film, Healthcare Science, Engineering, Cosmetology, Graphic Arts, JROTC, and Culinary Arts.
For the culinary arts program, CDH relocated and redesigned the outdated home economics kitchen into a full-scale culinary kitchen. The gymnasium is located in the footprint of an underused, auxiliary gym, which will include fixed and retractable seating, new locker rooms, support areas, and utilities. The new facility will be able to host convocation for the graduating classes.
